| Looking at depression and anxiety in a new way | |
Everyone feels 'down in the dumps', sad or 'low' at some time. That is a normal part of life. Depression is where these feelings are severe, or long lasting. Significant life events can trigger periods of depression…bereavement, loss of relationship, exam or work stress, family turmoil, are all types of things that can be triggers. There are many signs and symptoms, such as overwhelming feelings of sadness, guilt, worthless or hopeless, also feelings of anxiety, tenseness, worry and irritability, loss of interest in things you would normally enjoy, difficulty concentrating, making decisions or remembering things, difficulty sleeping, difficulty in caring for yourself and others.
Anxiety can interfere with living your life, giving some similar symptoms as depression,-feelings of anxiety, tenseness, worry and irritability, difficulty concentrating, making decisions or remembering things, difficulty sleeping, difficulty in caring for yourself and others.
In this workshop we will explore how you can look at depression and anxiety in a new way.
This is a full day workshop, from 10am to 5pm running on Saturday 17th September 2011
